A Lil' Update! (September 2, 2025)
Hey you... this summer has come and gone and is a blur - I cannot believe it's already September!
If you're wondering, yes, I am still in the prototype phase of my new Lil' Clay Doodz collection. And it's not even just a "collection" this time, I want these babies to be THE look for all future Lil' Clay Doodz! I have drawn and planned out their many new designs (many for practical-use), and I love them so much, but I'm still trying to get their shapes and glazes right etc. There are SOOO many options to choose from, but I'm enjoying this rebirth process. I'm also re-designing/branding EVERYTHING, like my website and editing videos, behind the scenes (I'm a one-woman band working full time at other jobs, so it's a slow process for sure). I've definitely had quite a few obstacles this year preventing me from moving forward with shop updates - especially this summer. But I am very excited for the new look I've come up with - the colours and patterns just feel more.. me. And that's my focus: what makes me happy and what I want for my home that others may want, too. I've always been somewhat random with my designs, like I just always "go with the flow," - and frankly, these past 5 years have been one giant learning experience - so it's important to me that when I do finally share my new designs that they are something I am proud of and will be consistent with. I've been doing this (albeit, on and off) for a long time now... I think I finally know what I want and that's an established "official" look to my Lil' Doodz and CEWELL Art Stuff. It just takes time. I'm basically starting over.
BUT OF COURSE due to what’s happening with the US and tariffs, and because I mainly ship to the US, I am sad to announce that I must close my Etsy shop for the time being. I need to look at my options and decide what’s best (there’s much to process, like what I am allowed to ship and finding a new carrier etc.). I need to reassess what I want CEWELL Art Stuff to be and where the direction of it needs to go, and so I feel I must just accept what’s happening and close for now. I think it's a sign to take a step back and really just rework EVERYTHING before opening again.
For those who have adopted a Lil’ Dood in the past, I thank you; and for those who wish to adopt in the future, I shall be back! :)
Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @cewell.art.stuff ...I admit I haven't posted since Halloween... but I will be focusing on sharing again this fall.
~ Caitlin :)

Adopt a Lil' Dood Today!
Here at CEWELL Art Stuff there are many Lil' Jar Doodz and Lil' Clay Doodz in need of a home! If you'd like a lil' desk buddy to brighten up your day, you can find all the Lil' Doodz that are waiting to be adopted in the CewellArtStuff Etsy shop!
Every Lil' Dood is one of a kind - no two are the exact same when it comes to them expressing their adorable personalities through their colourful patterns and their coveted facial expressions! All a Lil' Dood dreams of is to pass on its smile to you - will you make space on your desk or in your cupboard for a Lil' Dood?
which lil' dood will you adopt?

The Origin of the Lil' Jar Doodz
Each Lil' Dood was once either a lumpy ball of clay or a lonley glass jar! Sadly the glass jars have had a rough life and are usually found just sitting and waiting outside the 'big blue bin' - while all their plastic and cardboard friends can be recycled with ease, many Lil' Doodz have been known to be given a home in a garbage can (and they deserve better!). While some forms of glass can be recycled many times, here in British Columbia, Canada, glass cannot be recycled through the convenience of a recycling bin at home... so many glass jars are lazily tossed out never to be recycled, thus filling our landfill. But here at CEWELL Art Stuff, each Lil' Dood has been given a new smile and a chance at happiness - a happiness that will surly be contagious enough to get you smiling, as well.

Designed with Cute in Mind
Lil' Doodz were originally designed sporting their signature smiles, strong brow, and adorable paws on a glass jar - but now, thanks to the flexibility that clay offers, Lil' Clay Doodz come in all sorts of shapes and sizes!
Now you can wake up in the morning drinking your favourite coffee with your favourite Lil' Clay Doodz Mug; you can show off your prized succulents on the windowsill with your Lil' Clay Doodz Planter; and you can... well, think of anything houseware-related and we may just slap a Lil' Doodz' face on it!
We love all seasons, holidays and special events - and we love thinking up new adorables ways to help you celebrate! So just know, there will always be Lil' Doodz to choose from and bring home!

Digital Download Lil' Doodz
Your loveable 3d friends are also made available as downloadable colouring pages and prints - and not to mention at an affordable cost (plus you get to save on shipping by downloading and printing them at home yourself)! The digital Lil' Doodz will never be sold out and will always be there if you need to take some time for you, smile and colour.
And if you want to save some trees and are not interested in printing, we also offer Digital Lil' Doodz downloadable wallpaper for your desktop, laptop, and cellphone home screen!
Whether you want to hang a smile or upload a smile, we got you covered... in cuteness!

How We Doo Eco-Friendly
We will no longer be using plastic bubble wrap for packaging (unless recycled) and instead will be using biodegradable packing peanuts that dissolve in water and can be thrown into compost piles! Honeycomb wrapping paper will be used for extra cushioning, as well.
We also use recycled paper for our "Thank-You" cards - so please recycle them if you wish to make more space on your desk for your Lil' Jar Dood (which is, of course, made from recycled glass jars)!
CEWELL Art Stuff is always looking for eco-friendly alternatives for the materials used to make a Lil' Dood (Jar or Clay), and for the supplies used to pack and ship them to their new home - so any suggestions are always welcomed!
